I am in the process of hooking a new electric service a spa ,the disconnect on the wall located 9 feet away has a 2 pole 20amp gfci breaker and a 30 amp 2 pole gfci breaker, I tryed to call the technicians yesterday but they will be open today in the master unit in the spa it has 5 places for terminations it shows the 20 amp gfci breaker just to be connected to the neutral bar on the 30 gfci brk it shows the white wire to run to the spa the terminal to the terminal board . Can any one help me in explaining the reason for 2 breakers running to the spa?

Would assume it has lights,and they can not be on that 30 amp breaker and the 30 is probably need for heat

I don't know if this is simialr to your situation, but I've seen Spas (years ago) which were fed with two different circuits. They had a 20A 120v circuit for the Pump and control circuits, etc. and a 30A 240v that was strictly for the heater.

Thank You SO Much Gentlrmen for your replys, but the home homeis saying tis configuratuion with 2 Brekers has only benn out for appx 1 month or a little longer Im going to talk to the service tech and get some furater info, again thank you both for you reply.
