If you get rid of the jacket, you just have conductors and a bare copper ground. No longer NM, right?

Tape the white wire? You dont need to worry bout that right? After all romex cant be in a wet location anyway lol!

I've been told thhn/thwn is inside romex so why dont they just mark it thhn so we could use it..... Just a thought.
OK, it's a code violation. No argument here. Once again minor issue. I wouldn't be concerned about it.
