Let me see if I understand the question.. We have a 30" nipple that goes into a wireway with six 12/2 romexes entering the wireway and the question is can the jacket be removed from the point of entrance to the wireway all the way to the ocpd?
assuming I understand the question?
and on an exam if I were asked, I would say no.

The length of the wireway plays on my mind in conjunction with the conductors needing to be marked.
also I'm not sure 300-15 (f) applies .
I think what we have is a raceway and not a sleeve to protect cable assemblies

I agree with Mark. This entire argument is silly. If I can see the NM cable entering the conduit who really cares if the cable has it's outer covering removed. Even if it isn't removed, unless this is a glass conduit, I still can't see the outer jacket of the cable.
Trevor, where do you get this glass conduit? I think Jim would like some so he can please his designer type clients. Just think how pretty all those different colored wires would be for some people.

Maybe I'll market the idea for those completely anal retentive designer types.

Harvel makes clear PVC plumbing pipe; I've used it, and McMaster sells it.

Perhaps someone could persuade them to make properly listed non-metallic conduit using the same material :)
