I would accept that, but I still have a problem with what I see as the "presumed speed" of this truck. Do you think he was travelling at a safe speed in a parking lot given the damage?

That's for trucks that have been modified to drive on train tracks. Doesn't seem to be the case here. I think the boss told him he had to re-lamp one more fixture before he could go home. Didn't want to unload the lift, so he brought the fixture down to him.
