Come on, you just posted 6 times in a row! You're trying to catch Bob! :D
Yeah, I know it looks that way, but what happens is, I go away for a week or so and then come back, and see that there are a lot of new posts from others and I just have to chime in ! I must admit this last time, I was blocked a couple of times due to the 60 second rule  I was forced to cool it for a mintue. I guess that rule was put in there for people like me

Why are you wasting your time looking at Iwire's posts?

:D
I just thought that he was so exceptionally prolific poster that, it was of some sort of historic importance to see his first post ! Anyway, it all started with me looking for a contract template, and realizing that it is not easy to get past the latest 500 posts for anyone. e/m

LMAO

Actually, the first historical Bob post was in this thread, after the forum was upgraded in 2003. Since the previous format is all but gone, that makes members prior to 2003 prehistorical members, or in shorthand "dinosaurs". :D
Well I thought (just by looking at the membership dates) that the forum was created in 2003 or thereabouts. How much older that 2003 is it? e/m

George , how in your example did you use the quote, /quote in brackets and not get it to display as the gray box-- Is that one of the powers of the mods or is there a trick to that.

I found Bob's first post......Hi, my name is Bob. As I sit here in cell block 14 on day one of a life sentence without the possibility of parole I ponder the future. One would have to expect I will be spending many hours in this forum as it looks like, barring a succesful appeals process, I won't be going anywhere for a while.......

:D

That is by far the funniest post ever on this site!!!
I could not stop laughing.

Looks like it has worked, thanks. e/m

Ya know I was hoping Bob's first post would be of more a mundane nature - like one of the FAQs that pop up 2-3 times a week....

I think my first was about a certification law that I hate....

As far as I know my 'first' electrical forum post was 01/05/03 and it is over at ECN

Kind of funny, my post was about an issue in an ongoing thread here.

Helpful Tip for Panel Covers

Did anyone really think my first post would be 'special' .... if so.....you need a better hobby.

I used to play tons of silly games with my two boys, and wrestle with them, etc. until they got to be teenagers, and are way too cool to do anything with us. Can hardly get them go out for dinner with us! So now I have extra time on my hand which I spend on the forum (right now I alternate between watching national elections and doing the forum). e/m

I will hate that, our time with them will be too short.

Don't feel bad. Not being needed is a sign of successful parenting. Feel proud of their independence.

Besides, they'll spend more time talking with you when they have their own kids, looking for your advice.

If they're still living at home when they're in their 20's, then you've got something to feel bad about. ;)
