That's the downside of fiberglass... 50% additional weight.

I'd think one should be able to Tarzan from that ceiling-fan tail. To be truly safe you could drive some lag bolts into that timber and tie off there. :grin:

Seriously though, that A-frame must be a hoot. I'm fine with heights, but I'll admit that I get a little weak-kneed at the top of a 22' extension ladder. (Though the A-frame has a much wider base...) Must be a beast to move around, as it doesn't appear to collapse like the others.

I'm 6'5" and I can reach anything below 9' without a ladder. If I need a bit more I've got a 2-step rocker's ladder (yeah it's aluminum, but the only thing I'll do live is change bulbs, and I'm also wearing CSA 14kV boots) Any more than that I'll haul out the fiberglass Little Giant. Generally speaking, if I need anything over 12' then I'm glad to have a Little Giant, as those situations are usually things like light fixtures 1.5 stories above a staircase.
