I don't speak Magyar, but I did live in a foreign country for a long time and I dealt with a lot of sinus infections, was bed ridden with back pain for weeks at a time, and had to get an emergency operation there as well. I know firsthand that when you're feeling sick and weak and scared and vulnerable, it feels really good to hear your own language no matter how well you speak the local tongue
