How much foot candles should I have at floor level for a condominium elderly kitchen size 8?x?14?x 8? (clg)?

That would be dictated by the local building code in your area. Which building code are you working under?

PM's not exactly personal.

I'll take a shot at it, too.

The health department has a light meter they will use in the kitchen.
I don't know the ft. candle measured like that.
It should be bright.
I just had to add some florescents in a resturant. As required by the health dept.

George. Why you posting a PM?
Because this question is more appropriately posed to the forum at large, not to me personally. I doubt I am more familiar with ADA and building codes than the next guy or gal.

I agreed with Buck, it wasn't exactly personal. ;)

I agree with you.

But then again, what does the P stand for?

It may have been a PM, but is anything he posted of a private nature?

....wait, you agreed with George, so you don't have to answer.

Rhetorical.

Potentially public. Buyer beware. You'd be amazed at (and probably have seen) what some people will disclose from a PM publicly that is actually hurtful to someone else. This wasn't intended to violate a trust, just a display of time economy.

Honestly, I pulled over on the shoulder of the road long enough to check my email this morning, saw a PM notification from someone I didn't recognize, and didn't know when I'd get a real chance to address it the long way. It was the quickest way to get a new member a better answer than I could give in the minute I had.

I thought the Nec dictated article 220??

What does article 220 have to do with the question?
