Here is what I tell my employees. You are trading time for money. The value of that time is what I am willing to pay and what you are willing to accept. The more valuable you make your time by continuing education and improving your job skills the more I am willing to pay for that time. I am also reselling your time to a customer who will also have a say in what your time is worth. If at any time you feel your time is of more value than what I am compenstating you then you are free to try and sell your time on the open market.

OK, so whether gas is 1.25 a gallon or 5.75 a gallon, you are trading money for gas. The value of that gas is what they are willing to charge and what you are willing to pay.

Of course the gas also has to be of value to you,the greater the value to you the more you will pay. When the asking price of gas is greater than its value to you then you will find an alternative to buying gas.

Hello everyone I am bidding on an apartment complex in California, and am having a helluva time finding out what the residential prevailing wage rate is. I called the state and they do not list them on the internet, and was told that the owner would know. I contacted the owner who says "we think" it is this rate, which happens to be the same rate as commercial electricians. I have not done any resi prevail projects in the past, but surely a guy ropin' romex isn't paid the same as pipe benders. Does anyone know where to find out or any thoughts? Thanks

Unless the project is publicly funded, I'm not sure that prevailing wage applies. Read enitre FAQ at the following link:

http://www.dir.ca.gov/dlse/FAQ_PrevailingWage.html

Q. What is a residential project?

A. Projects consisting of single-family homes and apartments up to and including four stories are subject to payment of prevailing wages when paid for in whole or in part out of public funds, including federally funded or assisted residential projects controlled or carried out by an awarding body.

After he told them that he didnt see his guys for a couple of days, then the swelling went down in one of his eyes and he could see them just a little bit.

The Rough-in is the foundation. A good rough-in = an easy Trim-out.
I like to do my own rough-in & Trim-out. Sometimes I have customers want to help pull wire. I try to explain to them in a nice way that the best help they can give me, is to tell me what they want and leave me alone.
We are a small operation basically it is just me and my wife.our son helps us out when we need help.We do mostly Residential work. Some service calls,change-outs & up- grades. Of coarse we prefer new construction.
We wire Spec houses, Also do custom houses
