Ya think Charlie had a hard time accepting wire nuts 50 years ago?

Lets give the man a bit of respect.

I have never met Charlie but he is a well known and respected instructor in this area. If I remember correctly he is, or has been involved with crafting MA NEC amendments. :)

Bob I meant no disrespect, again, you have a hard time appreciating my dry scarcastic humor. In person my delivery is better as I can laugh after the punch line so you know I'm trying to be funny. But it is very honorable & chivalrous of you to take up for Charlie.

But on that note won't you agree, instructors find out a little behind the curve, what the new trends are in the field.

That is true, it is hard to pick up on it by reading.

I did find the 'boxing match' between me and Jim funny. :)

Yes I will agree and will go on to say that sometimes they get to wrapped in the code and not enough on the actual goal.

I also think cord and plug connected is actually a safer install of a DW or disposal in a dwelling. It is highly likely the HO will be changing the units themselves.

I work in Residential all the time, the first few times I ran across this I too was surprised. But now I have accepted it & find it the best way for an installation.

Well!!!

I had an extremely difficult time accepting any thing that was not appealing 50 Years ago.

But after a few birthdays (55) my disposition has improved!!

Bob thanks for support!
I'm good with all the response, as a instructor for the past 29 years I am convinced that I am not right all the time and this is one of those times.
The code is a humbling document, and it is dynamic, it does change every three years. I learned a long time ago sometimes you must fall on your own swordo .
I accept cord field installed cords as this string has indicated. But I do have across the board reservations.
