Gentleman/ladies,
I am a heavy equipment operator not an electrician.I came upon this forum trying to find an answer about rebar and swimming pools. I excavated my back yard to have a gunite pool installed. The pool is now in with water but on each side of the pool there is about a 3 ft piece of rebar sticking up. The pool people first told me it was for lightning and then they said it was for bonding with the concrete deck ? they told me this even though there will be no concrete deck 9travertine pavers on one side and decorative stone on the other 3 sides.Their project foreman told me to just bend the rebar down in the dirt but I read a post on this forum not to that. What is the proper procedure? Thanks
