Receptacle outlet for AC equipment service

I said similar, I seem to recall some having internal OCP for the receptacle. I haven't used one in ten + years.
I still use them regularly on residential. It does need a seperate circuit ran for GFCI it’s not tapped to the line side.

I mostly use them for existing installations where there is no receptacle near a new AC equipment installation. New construction I tend to install separate receptacle.

These can be handy for rooftop unit installs as well though.

What you want to do is fine. Nobody say the receptacle has to be sized for a 15 am load. As long as It's not fed from the load side of the ac circuit. is the mini 120 volt or 240 volt? even that doesnt matter. Feed the #10 with a 30 amp bkr
