At 21 feet, most designers would be considering beam detectors, but not for residential. You'll need a heck of an A-frame ladder or a Genie lift. See NFPA 72 for more discussion on smoke detectors/alarms on sloped ceilings.Ok, if you had a vaulted ceiling that was 21’ to the peak, where would you guys put it? It must be serviceable right?
