RMC to FMC Transition

What about transitioning from MC to EMT? I've seen this done by the same method, MC connector srewed into a GRC coupling, EMT connector srewed into the other end of the coupling. MC stripped and wires fed through the EMT to termination point. I've seen this done in steel buildings where MC is run throughout the attic area and EMT is surface mounted down the walls to receptacles. Would that be a violation?

I don't think a transformer is subject to vibration any more than a flourescent fixture is. Many transformers, expecially pad mounted are bolted down, and line /load conduits are stubbed up from beneath.

Do we really need any flexible connection?

Celtic,
Thank you. I could not type fast enough due to my broken shoulder. The vibration would be consistant with motors. Thanks again for posting the vib isolators on transformers.

6.1 Cable Conduit Entrance / Lugs
All cable connections to the transformer should be brought into the enclosure as low as possible to allow for the required cable
bending radius. Side entry of cables is recommended as it leaves the ventilation areas unobstructed.
