Installing a RotoPhase today.

Any reason the RotoPhase and its associated load motor should not start at the same time?
In other words, let the the RotoPhase come up to speed first, before adding the load motor?
RP is 30HP, load is 10 HP.

Just guessing here, but-
the derived phase doesn't exist until the RP is up to speed?
starting what's basically two motors at once?

and the FAQ says so :
Is it necessary for the Roto-Phase to start first?
Yes. It must be up to speed (two to three seconds) before any three phase load is applied.

Different brand but close enough. Easy enough to do.

Don’t remember the brand of the ones I installed, but yes, the instructions required Uou to run the RPC until it came up to speed before load was added.

There was a bit of a start up procedure for one that I installed that I had to go through with the owner.

FYI, the FAQ from Roto-Phase said the "manufactured" phase should not be used for the holding coil.

We had a simple timer and an Omron on the shelf. I suppose that means I should have a panelbuilder involved.
Yes, we don't use the generated phase for anything but the motor.
