We have 480 Delta Service. To feed the lighting we installed a Delta / Y transformer 480 to 480/277 4 wire. The question on job site is where the Grounding electrode conductor is terminated on both ends?
We are not allowed to drill holes in the steel structure at this location but Main Grounding Bar is 50 feet from transformer.

Ground Ring is Cald welded to the steel structure.

Normally in the transformer or in the panel for the 480/277 distribution

Does the building steel qualifie as a grounding electrode? 250.30(4) tells you to tie to the steel as close possible to your transformer.

"Main Grounding Bar is 50 feet from transformer" is not the same as grounding electrode. take a look at 250.30(A)(5) and 250.30(A)(5)
