For an underground residential lateral.
Situation- service drop to Pole..original 100 amp service with
pole monted Breaker Panel.
Owner installed a breaker panel inside the house. He fed the new 100 amp panel from a 100 amp breaker on the pole. However he ran underground service conductor (no ground). I know you can tap the service condutors
per 230.3. I cannot find anything in the code that prevents this (Can a service be fed from a breaker in outdoor breaker panel which is system bonded going out as service lateral and still be called a service,)
This could be considered a feeder since the conductors originate from
an overcurrent device... in a service bonded panel at the pole.
problem the 3wire service underground already run
I believe he could sub feed throuigh lugs at the bottom of panel ( will be installing new outdoor panel with subfeed lugs if necessary)
