Set screw EMT fitting outdoors? Code reference?

I have, article 725 in the 1987 code. Through Walt Disney World RCID when my current employer got the studio technical build contract. NEC was requiring communications cables to meet a code where no manufacture was producing any compliant product. We got a stay until 1989.

As for the set screw I really don't care. I though it was a good discussion topic as I did it at home recently and was told by another staff EC years ago that it was OK. It appears not so be it.

That was then and now is now and certainly not Florida.

Ya know the code books have gotten twice as big as they were when I started. I hate that. It is was is. If you did not like the fact that the NEC demands what is not in manufacture yet write an objection. There are many here who do write and get some new language in the end.
