Shaft VS Closet

If you had a lot of vertical feeders and MI Cabled running 7-8 floors in existing building and you had to core the closets( which are stacked) for openings or had an open shaft where the GC would building platforms on each level which install do you think would be quicker? I know limited info....but I'd think possibly the shaft because you would not be coring.?????

How long would it take to build (and remove?) the platforms?
How long would it take to drill a bunch of holes, which might need floor xrays first? Consider that you can have more than one core drill going at a time; with enough people and drills, you could probably do it all in a day.
