Simple question about pvc coated rigid.

I cant find anything in the code about pvc coated rigid specifically. I imagine that its just briefly mentioned in passing in article 344.10(D) and wanted to get either clarification, or a point in the right direction in the codebook.

All the rules for conduit bends, threading, fill, etc still apply. Its just another type of RMC, like SS, AL, etc.

I figured it was similar enough not to warrant its own article, such as schedule 80 pvc doesnt. But i wanted to be certain.

Special shoes are required for bending rob roy. The slightly larger O.D. will not fit into standard rigid shoes.

If you are not doing a lot of it, you just bend it in the next larger shoe size.

I generally wear a size 10 1/2 D for bending EMT, Rigid and IMC, but, I got a spare pair of 11 1/2 E's just in case I need to bend me some rob roy.

And a lot of patience. I used EMT shoes for coated RMC, IE 3/4" would bend 1/2", of course you couldn't bend 2" coated.
That way we had a set of shoes for EMT

It is an issue with all of them. The thicker the PVC coating, the more there is a problem. Most bending companies make mention of this.

I wear size 14 boots. Where's that 2" bender?
