If you have not adopted the 2017 NEC you will lose points in the 2017 report, if only change to scoring includes 2017 NEC.

Actually, we have not 'adopted' the NEC at all. Our law is the Michigan Residential Code and the Michigan Building Code which refers to most, but not all, of the NEC.
