Step up Transformer?

So as per post 32# the 1# schematic is how the EC has wired this transformer. So the feed down to the OCPD would be 2 legs of 240v & an EGC. And in that case 4# schematic is not needed.
 
The transformer was wired like schematic #1, which is _wrong_ if you want to go from 120/240V to 480V.

If you remove the neutral connection that changes things to schematic #2, which is the _same_ as schematic #3, and perfectly fine if you want to go from 120/240V to 480V.

Schematic #4 is necessary if you want to go from 120/240V to 240/480V. You need schematic #4 if you require a center tap, say for grounding the output.

#1 is for stepping down, #4 is for stepping up. You don't run a neutral to your "Primary" side of the transformer, the low side in this case, you derive it from the transformer windings.
