I really hate to put strands around a screw terminal anyhow, but sometimes you do what you gotta do.

Me too, which is why I prefer the BR style receptacles.

That's what I thougt at first too, but then I realized he was talking about BRown receptacles. He's old-fashioned, you know.

Yes.

Seriously though, that's just a part number for the high quality (commercial grade or better) receptacles that have the pressure plate connection on them.

I think he's referring to Leviton's BR15 and BR20 receptacles.

oaky I believe ground up and face plate screw horizontal..but if you are pigtailing outlets why not use these..

FYI, if you use stranded and P&S receptacles choose carefully... the catalog indicates only the pressure plate version (TM885-XX) are suitable for use with stranded wire, the 885-XX and the 885TR-XX indicate Solid Wire only.

That is very odd as the UL white book says all device terminals are suitable for stranded or solid conductors.
