Chris, is it possible you where thinking of 312.2 which requires a 1/4" air space behind panel cabinets mounted in wet locations?

Good point. IMO if there are ?" raised mounting bumps on the back of a can, it would be to comply with 110 also. Its early, let me think about that.

Chris things that need cooling would be transformers, power supplies, VFDs etc. A typical dwelling unit load center does not require specific clearances for cooling. (IMNSHO) :smile:

It would make much more sense to keep them out of the sun. :smile:
 
So is there "Really" a violation here? If your going to cite 110.13 (B),
isn't that 3/4" gap at the bottom of the panel enough air flow? :smile:
