I've got no slack for a wire nut. That was our first thought.

Any listed connector.
As far as slack, you might have to add a splice just to add some extra wire, it happens.
If there enough wire to at least get comfortably into a jbox, you can always do pigtails/tie it together in that.

There is also parallel groove or "H" taps, "C" taps - which are basically considered irreversible crimped on connectors. There are also non self piercing items that are otherwise similar to the mentioned "KUP-L-TAP"

Those teeth remind me of the early days of ethernet 10Base5 when you
would have a beefy main bus cable and one would use what everyone
called a Vampire Tap to connect to it. The vampire tap would only have a little
spike on it to pierce to the inner conductor, but that KUP-L-TAP really
has some proper vampire teeth.
