Trying to figure out correct configuration(or close) for tap splice that could be used here. Have 3#1/0 & #6G coming into trough and have two sets of the same sizes leaving the trough.

Think I can use this for the phase conductors?

Yes those can be used. I know that you mentioned a tap but with the conductors all being the same size what you actually have is a splice.

Ah, true? So would that change what's being used to join the conductors? Would some sort of splice kit be used instead of tap block?

Those type of connectors are fine. I just mentioned to tap thing for your own knowledge.

To me, it lends itself more to a tap situation,
A 60 amp disconnect is not going to accept 1/0 conductors,
In any event, the ILSCO type connectors are a common solution. You just need to make sure the one you pick accommodates your conductor sizes.
