Easy there Wayne, it was a very general question and I provided a very general answer.
I am curious Wayne what percentage of homes today have you worked in that have wood burning stoves as the source for permanent cooking?

I didn't mean to sound harsh but I just don't see the requirement that say we have to install a certain receptacle for cooking. as the words "Shall" and "shall not" are not a part of definitions Look at 90.5(A) then look at 90.5(C) definitions are informational for us to use when applying the code. Yes it say's that to be a dwelling there must be permanent provisions for cooking and sanitation. But does this mean we have to make sure there is a toilet installed. I don't think that this would fit our job description.
As for the wood burning stove I have only seen two in a new house and these were log cabin style houses.
