Change is not always good. Why fix what wasn't broke? Go back to the old. Leave this one alone.

Why fix what isnt broke,so they can sell books, cds, tapes, code seminars, servers, ups, racks, cable ,jacks etc ,and :D electricians can sell upgrades, and other services during good times and recessions.Personlly if the nec was changed every 5 or 6years we would still have plenty of work and it wouldnt break my heart

If it aint broke why fix it. This is the second time within the year the mikeholt wb site has made a change. I think, the wen masters are doing this to drive us crazy and for job security.

What do we have to do to get the old system back.

Re: The old forum format was better

I hate to say this because I do like this forum but I usually only have limited time to browse the forum when i'm working I pick the questions that interest me the most and read up. With this system I won't have the time to go to all the different categories which is a pity. And how about spell check instead of so many places to keep track of.

If you are limited on time and only want to see the most recent posts, you can click here to View The Most Recent Topics. This most recent topics page acts very much like the old forum format by showing the recent posts to ALL of the different topics.

I hate to buck the tide, but I like the new forum, because I can do more neat stuff. It's dummy proof, and before I wasn't sure how to do the bolding, html, or the italics. Just one click and you're there....

Re: The old forum format was better

Reading through this thread I get the impression that many may not be aware that there is an "update New Post Indicators" link under the my profile link above. I create a link on my Internet Explorer "Links" bar. This way once you have read the posts for the day you can just click the update link on the toolbar and only the most recent posts will have the orange light bulb "on".

Sorry if this is general knowledge here. just trying to help. :)

I am getting used to this at another forum that recently change to it from UBB Threads...
