I thought this might be fun, post the worst electrical things (code violation or otherwise) in your own homes.

Ive got a couple conduits that are probably overfilled, panel not exactly labeled, and a red conductor reidentified as a ground (gotta fix that -was temporary a few years ago)

Receptacles and light fixtures installed by a handyman before we moved in using zipcord in the walls and ceiling.
They are disconnected and will be rewired as soon as time is available and I have someone to crawl around in the attic.
The cobbler's kids have no shoes (and I have lights and receptacles that don't work).

My sub panel doesnt have a cover on it, nor do the 6 JB in my garage. I was in the middle of a panel upgrade, and work got busy, didnt have time to finish it yet.

I have a "romex" that's stapled 12 1/8 inch from the box and secured 54 1/2 inches from that. Tough sleeping at first, but I'm over it now.

:D (I know an inspector who makes an "issue" out of this kind of stuff.):-?

60A breaker feeding #6 USE to garage, garage panel has no GEC, a couple of boxes that would fail conductor fill. Some 12-2 NM hanging down under the house that used to feed baseboard heat. Its wire nutted off and still connected to the wall t'stats. Thats about all I can think of.
