Is that a straight 120 volt panel? I see the jumper between phase a and b, but I only see one hot conductor landed.

240 volt. Jumper is between B and C. Look closer.

Judging by your last sentence and the inspectors visual impairment , that there are more problems that will not be corrected. I would list all the deficiencies and have the owner sign off on it. The last one on the job always gets blamed for everything.

Probably a combo inspector, a lot of municipalities are small and hire a carpenter as an inspector, and they have to inspect everything, plumbing, electrical, structural and HVAC. I've run across a few of those. One city even made him carry a gun, since he was an "Enforcement Officer".

Did they make him go through same training as police officers - especially when it comes to use of force?

Giving that guy a weapon and not the proper and continued training on when and how to use it can open up a big liability for the city, and on top of that, some senseless incident could easily occur if he doesn't use it properly.:happysad:

That's the dryer circuit. It's AL so it looks big.

Yeah but it isnt protected by a 2 pole breaker or handle ties between the two. This is a mess of a service.
