My back hurts just looking at that pouch...:D

Ditto that. I still to this day get criticism from other electricians for wearing any pouch at all. All of the old timers tell me that pouches cause back problems when your older. When i first started out in the business guys would actually tell me to put the tools in my pocket and leave the pouch at home.

mcmaster carr has a nice little leather pouch that slides inside your hip
pocket, and hangs over... holds most of what you need, and saves tearing
up your 501's...

used to use the 5 gallon tool buckie, with loops inside for the tools, got
tired of dumping it on the ground to look for stuff.

here is the latest version of my 5 gallon buckie.....

Reread, I don't "wear" it. I carry it over my shoulder. I despise wearing anything on a belt or even wearing a belt alone. I size my jeans correctly, to heck with a belt.

Depending on the call, I have the pouch, a 5-gallon bucket buddy and tool bags. I'll normally walk in with just the pouch and return to retrieve what else is needed.

Besides retiring that old F16, that's a pretty sharp setup. What kind of box is that? That's a box for someone like me with OCD:smile:

I knew a friend/JW that wore a nail apron all the time. At that project, we knew what we needed ahead of time. For a buck, I thought about buying a dozen of them. Do any of you other guys wear them around?

I like the bucket buddies. I have one from Fluke/CSE that's only $23. At $23, they are disposable:

the box is made by festool. german company. excellent woodworking
tools. they also make what is called a systainer organization system.
the whole assembly is made up of four modules, that lock together.
the whole stack is like this (photos not in proportion to each other):

the critters latch together, so if i need to go up stairs with this, i break
it into two pieces and carry it up that way. the handles on the top are
designed to carry 200 kilos, so they won't break.

my little work cart has all the battery tools and whatnot on the bottom
two shelves, and the top is for a worksurface, and this carries everything
i need for any work i'm doing.

if i need a shop vac, festool makes one of those as well, and it serves as
a dolly in it's own right for additional systainers, if i need them.

did i mention i like festool? where i get them, is from a guy in lincoln
nebraska, and it includes free shipping, and no sales tax.... festool is
a fixed price deal, no reseller can discount the stuff, so i buy from timmy
'cause he's a good guy, and if i called tomorrow and asked for something,
it'd be on my doorstep monday afternoon. he's at www.festooljunkie.com

a note of caution.... this stuff isn't cheap. IMHO, it's worth it, however.
if you go to his web sight, and spend all your milk money, it's not my fault.
all the stuff comes with a 30 day satisfaction guarantee. nobody ever
returns anything, timmy says. ever.

you've been warned.

That's sharp, How did you stand the tools up, wood? I really, really like that !

smoke tinted plexiglass... one of the guys in my BNI group has a laser
to burn the stuff, and i drew what i wanted in autocad, and sent him
the file, and he burned me a holder.... if i add stuff or want to rearrainge it,
i edit the file, and he burns me a new one.....

ocd isn't a disablilty, it's a hobby......:D

We have a contractor by me that doesnt allow buckets he says they look unproffesional but I think he thinks everyone is stealing things from him in them is the real reason they are not allowed on his jobs.
