I hate wearing a tool belt. When roughing in a house I'll use a nail apron at times. I've got a lot of tools, so having one of what I need on every floor is not a problem. I also keep my tool bag on a small roll around scaffold that serves as a mobile desk/ work bench.

Hi guys. First post. Like many, I wear a minimum of tools. I have been very happy with my Klein 5118C four pocket pouch (10 yrs+) and Ideal Tuff Tote 35-975 for everything else. A little pricey but guaranteed for life. Last one I'll ever buy unless someone decides he likes it more than I do and catches me not looking.:D

never trust an electrician will all brand new tools

I am pretty trust worthy and UNFORTUNATLY I have had new tools 6 times, once when I was an apprentice and 5 times I have had them stolen. Twice on the job and 3 times from my truck

Don't have a tool pouch rig to post, just a story.
A number of us worked for an EC and were considered "shoppies". Drove a service truck and did a lot of commercial and small industrial jobs. One JW I worked with wore the largest, heaviest tool pouch I've ever seen and he actually walked with a slight list to one side. Never seemed to have back problems though. He would wear this thing even if we were in a ditch running 4" pipe.

Personally, I'd carry a pouch and usually set it aside and put the tools I needed in my back pockets, unless doing some service work.

Been using a Klein #5127T for 20+ years. I've added a few leather loops to the inside back of the pouch to hold screwdrivers in place with a few rivets.

I got that pouch when I was in Kindergarten, It lost some rivets over the years and earlier this year it was literally busting apart. I put an old level and a tape measure in it and gave it to my daughter, I've got some other pouch now that was floating around in my garage but I pretty much hate it. I'm just too cheap to go buy the 5127. For the record I don't like the tunnel one.
