I doubt if any accuracy was needed there and couldn't be from a moving bucket truck.I used to have to torque a large bearing (slewing ring really) 400 ft pounds and at least 50 bolts I bet closer to 75. The wrench was almost 4' long but the work had to be done from a bucket truck.
It's like the crown of a press where huge tierods are heated with rosebud welders torch which is like a flame thrower till they are cherry red. Nuts are tightened with sluging wrenches and sledge hammers and allowed to cool making them really tight.
