If we can find someone who has been in business longer than 27 years, does quality work, is well respected among their peers, but also uses cable ties, would that make it ok?

Where was that established? I've been doing this 35 years and I have no problem with cable ties.

A little full of yourself aren't you. :D

BTW, I can pull a one hole strap loose as fast as I can break a cable tie.

Nope, just telling the truth whereas you are just giving an opinion that you think we should be impressed with, but another truth is, we're not.

I can't believe this thread is still going on. This is either what makes this forum great, or else is what has kept me away for much of the past year. :-?

I'll let y'all know when I figure it out.:D

Don't worry, John - Operation Old School is under way, with Bob at the helm. ;)

Just didn't want to see this thread slip off the page.

Seriously - I had an informal conversation with a member of the staff of a "Cable Tie" manufacturer. He, personally, is against using "Cable Ties" to secure conduit, but the company has no formal policy one way or the other.
Why should they - they sell more "Cable Ties" that way - whatever.

Anyway - I REALLY MISS PIERRE. Come on back, big guy.
The Code Forum doesn't prohibit you, so it must allow you.
