Both Platt and North Coast here beat big box on romex, mc, and thhn rolls. You need to renegotiate with them.
Don't have them around here that I know of. Our supply houses are Capital, CES, CED, Anixter, Electric Supply, Shepherd, Hagemayer and Womack. Also Mayer.

CED beats big box here also. North coast is a sonopar and platt is a rexel. It all comes down to negotiating with the sales guy and there needs to be enough market share from other ECs also to keep the price low enough.

Panels breakers and NM all cheaper at the box, all the rest of the fittings not so much. They know that stuff gets price shopped. One of the guys said they sold near whole semi load to one customer not too long ago.

Only if you have a supply house that really doesn't like you. Even cash sales customers get better pricing on the items you listed at most supply houses compared to HD/Lowes.

If a guy is in the biz marking up materials and does enuf then the jobber is great. They are cheaper on lots of misc fittings, the lugs, ground barsm hubs lots of that stuff, not so much on a panel and wire, that is so obvious and easy to price. Joe gets a good buy on a panel and he doesnt leave there top save 3$ on 1 ground kit. One of the guys works at orange said the amount of wire they actually sell to EC's is unreal.
Said a lot of it never actually enters the store.
