Lately we've been doing 2 or 3 prevailing wage jobs a year, nothing huge, usually in the $20K range. The techs love it, of course, but the paperwork for the state is brutal if the job winds up in bits and pieces over several weeks. Our administrative costs are about double on a per man-hour basis, and our profit margin is actually lower. Since part of my compensation is based on my job profitability, I try not to be the PM for these jobs.
