Voltage Drop, Ground

I don't have my book handy & need to give a quick answer shortly. I think I recall that with upsizing for voltage drop, the ground has to be sized up along with the current carrying conductors. I am seeing having to size up from #12 to #2 for a potential but not likely project. So the ground should also be #2. If it were starting with reduced ground for larger load, the ground could still be proportionate per the chart.

Am I correct on this? I think I am. Thx for any feedback.
 
From what I read you are correct. The EGC has to increase in size proportional.

No math needed with 20 amp circuits though as the EGC has to be the same size as the hot and neutral.
