Put a tone on the cable, then go see which neutral it's on ? (I already know which hot, having mapped the breakers). Or because the neutrals tend to be all jammed together in the gutter, difficult or impossible to tell which one is toning ?I don't think a toner widget will help identify the noodles.
And they are/were typically rated at 60w ma.Talking about the flasher widget (not being available).
I have a couple of them as well that I use for auxiliary heat to my greenhouse heater on really cold nights.I have some three hundreds.
For the 3ft or so from the load center to the j-box where they split it into two separate circuits (two /2 cables).Still one wire less.
Yes, not worth it. J boxes and labor must have been low back them. For the 3ft or so from the load center to the j-box where they split it into two separate circuits (two /2 cables).
In terms of de-rating its two conductors less. Not sure if it matters on a short nipple but I think you'd have to consider that if it were longer than 24"Still one wire less.
Still one wire less.
Evidently j-boxes were expensive then too I say this, because this trick (splitting the MWBC into two /2 cables) was done twice on one j-box. One cheap plastic 18 cu-in j-box. That's right, there were fourteen 12awg wires, plus ground, in one of those little boxes.Yes, not worth it. J boxes and labor must have been low back them.
