Usually they want the handle painted red for fire alarm circuits in hotels, or is this an extended stay? I think the rules are a little different for transient housing.
Extended stay....Sorry should have mentioned.Usually they want the handle painted red for fire alarm circuits in hotels, or is this an extended stay? I think the rules are a little different for transient housing.
Indeed it will, was seeing if it could go in the off position, and accidentally hit the test button.... Nosey me.And the CB will still trip with the handle locked on.
The wire colors are crossed up.Whenever I buy Eaton gear for a project with a fire alarm, then send a breaker from the factory with a red handle. I think they’re the only manufacturer that does it right now.
The lock was added by my FA sub, but you can see the red factory handle.

Yup. Thank God my buddy carries a multi tool.lolAnd to reset the tripped breaker you have to disengage the lock.
A breaker lock, typical for critical circuits like alarms. Breaker will still trip internally, but prevents someone from accidentally turning off.In a hotel, what is this apparatus for? General receptacle circuit.View attachment 2556376
