I've had that happen also... How long have these jokers been in the trade?

When I was working as a locomotive electrician we used to have to work in the "short hood" (the nose) of the locomotive. This is where the toilet is located. Most of the time it looked like the railroad crew members would just open their zipper and let it fly instead of ducking down, going down the stairs, and using the toilet. It was nasty on the floor and it smelled disgusting!
 
Love the prima donna attitudes. Cus lord knows, there aren't any electricians out there who would screw things up for other trades. :roll:

Yes, I use cardboard, I also leave the lights an inch higher then the planned cabinet bottom, this allows the cabinet installer to just notch the sheetrock down and not have to worry about any patching or whatever.

I like this idea im gonna try that next time around.. last house I did they buried quite a few of my wires too. I would just lightly staple it on the edge of the wood so it would protrude a bit and they still buired wires.

I always ask the other trades from "get go" if you happen to damage anything above ground or under just pleeease come get me and make me aware. Chances are everthing will work out in the wash later on during const. Shopping plazas and the like can get very hairy when all the trades are clashing at once to meet a deadline. My boss seldom sends out a back charge in the event that someone accidentally screws up, as long as we are notified in the "rough" stage of the game, cuz he knows it's just a matter of time before we destroy some water/ sewer/ tv cable/ gas/ etc.etc... and usually we get the same treatment.......usually , not always though.
 
I don't send out a lot of backcharges either, but I'm starting to thing by now I could've insulated & sheetrocked a project with what I should be backcharging those contractors.:wink:

This is why I make a special trip to some of my projects.
There is also a lack of supervision for most jpbs. In specific: Specs house

Did they request undercabinet lights or under insulation lights!!:D
