For those of you who own or partially own your electrical contracting company, what do you put as your title on business cards and / or official paperwork.

Owner?

President?

My last set of cards I had made said owner. I'm making up some of my own this weekend, and I'm leaning toward changing the title to something else. I was wondering what other people are using

Some people say they are president of their company because they actually are the president of their company because of the way they set up the legel side of the ownership. Stick with what you really are, helps people establish a sense for how you run your business... imo.

I'm one of those 'dreaded by most members of this forum' a one man shop.

My card has "AFTER THOUGHT ENGINEERING SPECIALIST"

AND "ELECTRCIAN EXTRAORDINAIRE"

ALSO HAS "OWNER"

I occasionally get a chuckle(and a job) from some one who actually reads the card.

Mine has my name titles are not important to me, I can either prove my worth or not.

I have known some real knuckle heads with elaborate titles that could not replace a single pole.

Tony Bandiera Jr.
CEO

CEO is the best I could come up with, as I am the Owner, President, Officer, Staff, and Sr. Technician. :)

The company name comes from my first go-around, when I was building low power FM transmitters for motocross race announcing. It means:

Tony's Professional Audio TRANSmitter COMpany. :)

"Electrician Extraordinare", You stole that from me. I made a card at a mall
when I was an apprentice in 80 that said that. Either great minds think alike
or you hung around malls with too much hair mousse in your hair trying to
steal clever slogans.:D
