I'm in the market for a new laser tool to layout lighting and boxes.. The last one went to laser heaven ....tragically. :)
So, who is using which brand laser and do you like it?

Thanks.
My old one....very old one, was a craftsman. I kept telling myself to buy a new one. The only thing that held me back was the old one kept working AND there are a lot of choices in the ones on the market now. Wasn't sure which to buy.

Milwaukee has an extensive line of lasers. I have a Bosch, it’s was $50 but not very bright. It has a functional clamp-base

Like Don, I prefer PLS. They used to be a small local company in the bay area before being purchased by Fluke. I have one of there very old red 5 dot lasers. A slightly newer green line laser and a relatively new green 3X360 line levels.

I did not know that they had been purchased by Fluke. Not sure it is a good thing when a small company gets gobbled up like that.

I have a number of lasers:
Bosch plumb
Bosch square
Johnson crossline w/tripod
Several Amazon crossline and dual crossline
All the avove are retired except the Bosch plumb, because all the above are red. I haven't found a green plumb, so I'm still using the Bosch. Plus, all the above have batteries which need to be removed and replaced (I have rechargeables)

After several years of using them, I found the cheap Amazon ones do just as good a job, if not better. So when I started getting green rechargeable versions, I went to Amazon and haven't regretted it.

I now have 2 single crossline and 1 dual crossline.

I've used a few different ones and all worked but my only suggestion is to get one with rechargeable battery. I have a Bosch xx300 that uses AA batteries and I really need to get some rechargeable AAs.

Batteries were the only issue for me with the bosch.
Having dewalt, bosch and milwaukee tools already it would be nice to use the same battery that I use for one of the tools.

Use those from Amazon too. I like the green lines better than the red!

I have the PLS HVL 100 for about 10 years. They stopped making it when Fluke bought them. Shoots 90's at 360 degrees. I got a backup green line laser from Amazon a Danpon. Works well outside for my purposes. I also have the PLS 90.
