I did not know that they had been purchased by Fluke. Not sure it is a good thing when a small company gets gobbled up like that.Like Don, I prefer PLS. They used to be a small local company in the bay area before being purchased by Fluke. I have one of there very old red 5 dot lasers. A slightly newer green line laser and a relatively new green 3X360 line levels.
Use those from Amazon too. I like the green lines better than the red!I have a number of lasers:
Bosch plumb
Bosch square
Johnson crossline w/tripod
Several Amazon crossline and dual crossline
All the avove are retired except the Bosch plumb, because all the above are red. I haven't found a green plumb, so I'm still using the Bosch. Plus, all the above have batteries which need to be removed and replaced (I have rechargeables)
After several years of using them, I found the cheap Amazon ones do just as good a job, if not better. So when I started getting green rechargeable versions, I went to Amazon and haven't regretted it.
I now have 2 single crossline and 1 dual crossline.
I have the PLS HVL 100 for about 10 years. They stopped making it when Fluke bought them. Shoots 90's at 360 degrees. I got a backup green line laser from Amazon a Danpon. Works well outside for my purposes. I also have the PLS 90.Like Don, I prefer PLS. They used to be a small local company in the bay area before being purchased by Fluke. I have one of there very old red 5 dot lasers. A slightly newer green line laser and a relatively new green 3X360 line levels.
