Do you have a recommendation for a remote wireless wall switch for a light? A customer wants a switch for a ceiling light where I can't run a wire between them. Thank you

I find that Lutron has a much more reliable wireless switch and some don't require a neutral at the switch.

If it's just a switch you need and it's not going through a hub or similar, I would go with Lutron's RF switch. It can be used in 3-way, 4-way, etc. situations. It does require the PICO wireless remote switch. You just replace a regular switch with the RF master switch and place the PICO where you need it. You also need the PICO mounting bracket to mount the PICO remote to. You then put a decora plate or Claro screwless wall plate and it looks like any decora switch.

If you want/need a dimmer or are running through a hub or smart switch, the the Caseta line from Lutron is what you want. It's the same switch as the RF but does a few more things.

If there is an existing switch then the Lutron Pico is great. You replace the one switch with a master maestro style switch and you can install a pico remote that attaches to the wall and you use a screwless plate-- it looks like it was cut in.

Is there an echo in here?:D

I'm with the Lutron PICO as well. Works great.

If you don't already have a wall switch I would go with the Smarthome Insteon products. I see they now have a replacement LED bulb that is controllable :

or an "in-line" module that fits inside a 4" round JB :

You'll then have to match it up with a controller.

FYI, if you've never worked with this Smarthome stuff before it's worth a call to tech support before you buy anything. Be prepared to wait to speak to a real person and pack a lunch beforehand:p
