			I had the same thing happen years ago. Helper drilled a 3/8" hole through 3" sch 40 black iron in reverse. I was impressed, to say the least. Some time later he was tapping a 1/4-20 and another guy stopped and watched. Then asked, "Are those left handed threads?"Originally posted by iwire:

I went out a couple of times and gave him grief for taking so long, I went out again and he had gotten through the first one but the hole was oval shaped and the drill bit blue.
