Agreed. I like viewing windows personally. If it's an issue they are easily added. Post 13-16.Thermal scans of connections while under load would have to be done while energized.

It is all but impossible to idiot proof an installation.Inevitably there is some idiot out there who will open the transformer while energized for routine examination.

What if the working clearance problem is solved, but some unqualified person opens any energized compartment, much less an MV one, anyway?
What NEC violation?True. But, If there’s an injury or death, how will a jury view it if they can prove a NEC violation was involved?
