Wrapping THHN around screws is certainly not quality

I am the lead electrician and this is a large insurance claim. The GC has its own EC and not to mention I am already overloaded with work. I maintain and repair all the electrical in the entire facility

so you are an employee/contractor of the owner
you have no dog in this fight
if you see bad work get the owner, gc and ec in a room and lay it out
the owner and gc have leverage/authority/contractual relationship over the ec, not you, unless he has legally delegated it to you in the gc's contract, ie, owners representative

Which in my experience never have I met or seen southern electricians with much quality.
You have a very limited experience level don't you.

Just quit complaining on an internet forum and do something about the situation in real life.

I work maintenence currently. We have a construction manager who will get absurdly angry with you if you tell him about any code violations or point out shoddy work that his contractors do. I have adoped the not my problem approach untill the contractors leave and i am later required to fix thier work by my own boss. I get paid by the hour so it is easy to deal with.

Not a grey area
it complies with code
solid is a preference not a requirement
Bare minimum code is a sign of low quality. If your goal is squirrel by and pass inspection, then you are just like them. Workmanship and craftsmanship will survive as long as I have breath and my own apprentices to show.

The OP's question/concern has been addressed. It started out with a concern over whether stranded wire was allowed on a device terminal. That was addressed properly. Now it has turned to derogatory remarks about regional electricians and an "Holier than Thou" attitude.
So with that, I am closing this thread.
