This has nothing to do with Electrical other than Hoover Dam. My wife and I took our yearly pilgrimage to Las Vegas. This year we decided to drive to save a few bucks (Honda Civic) and take in the scenery.
We left our north Texas home up to Amarillo TX on May 21 to catch I-40 west to Kingman AZ. I told the wife before we left we might see some snow on the Mountains in Albuquerque NM or Flagstaff AZ. Well as soon as we hit the NM state line we ran into some light drizzle rain all the way to Albuquerque off an on. Drove about another two hours to about 20 miles west of Gallup NM and ran into light rain. Wnt another 5 miles and said OMG is that snow coming down on the windshield. By the time we get to Gallup NM exit 16 I-40 was closed to Flagstaff and we were in the middle of a WHITE-OUT Blizzard and had to get off and get a Hotel for the night. Mind you this is a Thursday, May 21 Memorial Day weekend.
Anyway got up the next morning to continue, I-40 was open again. Streets and highways was fine but about 3-inches of very wet heavy snow on the grass, cactus, and plants. Headed out to Flagstaff and it snowed the whole way to about 20 miles west of Flagstaff when we finally dropped below 5000 feet.
Anyway so I don?t get in trouble with my fellow mods here is a pic of Hoover dam generation. Just wanted to share with you guys.
