Hi All,
I hope everyone is doing well today. As of this morning I received the final determination as to how the electrical inspector and Township want to handle the Dryer. With much debate, they have agreed to except a hard copy letter, and a new nomenclature plate, from the Professional Engineer that the manufacturer has on staff. But must be signed by him and the regional sales manager. With supporting information in the content of the letter. In the end, I do believe it was built for the wrong voltage. But will work with 208 3phase. But in my opinion it will have a shorter lifespan. Thank for all the opinions. Have a great day.

Other than any control transformer, it may actually have a longer life span. That said it will only put out 75% on resistance heating elements and may take longer to do the same task, depending on whether the element is sized exactly to the need or is oversized to some extent and cycles as needed to maintain temperature.
