Not bad. Get a new 60A subpanel, properly grounded, replace the box with the missing side, install GFCI receptacle, eliminate the empty conduit in the bottom (or put a lockring on the fitting), staple down the NM within a foot of the panel and every 3' after, done. Hundred bucks in material and two hours labor to fix what's pictured.

eta: please dont tell me the 3/4" plumbing PVC 90's into that panel as the feeder....

Actually, it looks like plumbing PVC pipe, but the fitting going into the panel looks like a larger BX 90 degree connector clamped down onto it! A hack of a hack! :slaphead:

Those old Sears panels were brand-labeled Murray. Current Siemens / Murray breakers and fillers still work and are listed for use with them.

Yes its plumbing pipe with THHN inside. 2 HOTS AND A GROUND WIRE
going back out today to look at other issues.

OK, I see what look like two runs of NM going out the top. Lemme guess; one hot per and the grounds are tied together? Or is it two 240 volt loads?
